Ultimate Low Fat Brownie Cookies

These are oh so delicious and you don't get that sick feeling like you ate a bucket of shortening. I've made these cookies for a few friends and they all said it was one of the best cookies they've ever eaten! You would never guess that these had whole wheat and flax seeds in them and are low in fat. They have the perfect chewy texture and rich chocolatey flavor.
Servings:18. Per Serving (1 Cookie): 69 Calories, 2.5g Fat, 12g Carbohydrates, 1g Protein, g Fiber, 13g Sugar.

- 1/2 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
- 1/4 Cup Milled Flax Seed
- 1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
- 1/2 Cup Oats
- 1/4 Cup Sugar
- 1/2 Tsp Soda
- 1 Tsp Baking Powder
- Pinch of Salt
- 1 Tsp Vanilla
- 2 Tbsp Canola Oil
- 1/4 Cup Maple Syrup
- 1 Tbsp Black Strap Molasses
- 1 Tbsp Apple Sauce

Preheat oven to 350°. Mix dry ingredients together, then stir in wet ingredients. Drop onto cookie sheet sprayed with nonstick spray by spoonfuls (exactly 1 Tbsp). Bake 15 minutes, or longer for a chewier cookie. Makes exactly 18 cookies. Printer Friendly Version
