Crafts & Fun Projects

Guess how I spent my summer? Working on this vegan gingerbread house epublication. I designed the houses, made them, photographed them and put together this publication in 3 months. It took longer than I imagined it would. It’s 46 pages, but almost 100 pages if you count the pdf files of patterns. I poured my heart and soul into this project and I hope a few people enjoy viewing it and possibly trying a vegan gingerbread house themselves. It’s free and you can view it online. Enjoy! This Halloween garland, beautifully illustrated by Jess Latham (BvFonts.com) was done in a vintage style. We have a haunted house on a hill, wicked witch on a broomstick, a provoked black cat, scary pumpkins and a ghostly grave scene.
Just print out as much garland as you want to make on white 8 x 10 card stock paper, cut out and join them together with those small scrapbooking brads. Easy easy. Decorate a doorway, string it on walls or festoon the edge of a table.

Materials Needed: Color Ink jet Printer, Printable Iron-On Transfer Sheet, Scissors, Blank T-Shirt, Tote Bag or Placemats.
My twin brother Jess did the pumpkin illustrations. Let me plug his site, it’s BvFonts.com, you can download all sorts of free type faces and dingbats to use in your scrapbooking and craft projects there. So if you’re into that, check it out.
Make sure you follow the directions of the iron-on transfer paper perfectly. One important thing you should know. You have to mirror the image, and you can do that by selecting mirror in your printers preferences. Otherwise your image will iron-on backwards.
I wish I would have had more time to focus on the T-shirt I made for the above photo. I didn’t have time to shop around for a T-shirt and the one I grabbed was baggy and white. I wanted a pale yellow that fit tighter but I couldn’t find one. If any of you actually make one these pumpkin T’s or totebags (or what have you), send a pic of you wearing it. I’d love to see what you did.
