All plants are a good source of protein yes. Don't worry so much about protein, you get plenty with a vegan diet. Read The China Study by T. Colin Campbell, written by a cancer researcher, he talks about protein and how we get too much protein from animal based foods. He also says that there's plenty protein in a vegan diet. Watch this video of Colin Campbell speaking, he pretty much sums up everything in his book, it's very eye opening. You will not worry about protein after watching this.

This was the best vegan recipes I've ever tried. I became a lacto-ovo a couple of months ago and one of the reasons I didn't even consider becoming a vegan is because any recipe I find falls apart when I'm making it or just tastes awful. This is the greatest website ever! :-) I have a request though. I have a soft spot for Quorn chik'n patties. Do you think you could try to make a recipe that's like that? It's the only cafeteria food that I've liked.

It would probably work ok. These are easy to experiment with and you probably can't mess them up too bad.

I'm gluten and lactose intolerant, and I also have general chemical sensitivity (so usually all processed foods are a no-no). What would you recommend to replace the oats, wheat germ, and wheat flour in this recipe? Would extra-firm tofu work, for example? How about cooked quinoa or millet?
Thank you.
