Seitan “Ham” With Pineapple

A lot of seitan recipes tend to be either too soft or too tough. When I started working on this recipe my mission was clear, to make the ultimate seitan “ham”.

The texture is perfection. It’s just the right amount of chewy without being tough. It’s tender without being too soft and so moist. And most importantly it’s bursting with ham-like flavor. GO TO RECIPE >

Just noticed the “ground gloves” — I think I’ll try cloves instead. :)

Can’t wait to try it! And thanks again for another soy-free recipe!!!

I made it tonight. I’m the only one that is vegetarian but my “meat” eater friends that tried it (4)said it was good. I enjoyed it too. The only thing I didn’t add was the ground mustard for the sauce. I’m not a very big fan of a lot of mustard in it but thought it was enough mustard that way. Good job with all those recipes! Keep them coming and I’m keep making them! :)

Thanks for the comment Marlene! Try using the mustard, it really is a key part of the whole flavor combo. But I’m glad you liked it still.
